The problem is that unless you control the distant end there is no guarantee of success. How this might work depends on what happens after the line hits the exchange and what is on the far end and how it gets back to you. Even if you dumped the blue boxes and bought an AOIP system it will take a certain amount of effort to make this work consistently which could be a problem at a small station that may not plan ahead very well. You really need a dedicated IP connection and not the car dealership's Internet connection.
If these remotes are typical voice cut ins you might investigate HD voice (G.722) via cell phone. If you have a provider that offers this service and has a solid signal in the majority of potential locations where remotes typically happen, it might be an alternative.
