Tom:  Period for comma, that's pretty much the story here in the Southern Missouri Ozarks including Springfield, MO. Remotes are nightmares. Sometimes I dig out an ancient pair of UHF Marti rigs and try to mount the Yagi somewhere and point it back at the stu. Some guys try to use Skype over cellphone, but it always turns out uni-directional depending on which end originates the phone call. You can insist on a copper line in the telco order, but it will only be copper for the distance between the remote booth and the 66 block downstairs, whereupon it's converted to fiber then out to the street to the CO. The studio digital phone system hates the digital telco system -- dropped calls, false inbound calls experienced on-air. That's progress! That's nutz. We've lost ground in the telco industry.
