True.  Assuming the receiver comes with its own antenna, non penetrating 
mount and concrete blocks a station might stick with them.

Ku is a different animal of course.  But unless the bird is much higher in 
the geosynchronous arc it could be an issue with some stations.  I have one 
with a C band dish 25 feet in the air on its own huge tripod just to clear 
the tree line towards AMC-8!  And putting the Ku dish on a roof with no 
access will make winter maintenance a headache.  Ice and snow in dish.

It is possible they could be looking to Ku band.

Dependimg on the bird, a 1m could be mounted to the mast begind the C band
dish and aimed at a diferent azimuth. I am doimg that npw with AP.
