[BC] HT-10 single phase choke needed

For ripple reduction in a single phase power supply, with choke input
filter, a single choke with L that low is marginal. It is the value that
would be typical for a 3 phase supply, where the ripple freq is 360 Hz,
not 120 Hz. A lot depends on the shunt capacitor in the filter, and
cranking that value up in uF will compromise some, but create a lot of
stored energy to deal with in the design.

While NWL is a good source for iron, Harris/Gates was prone to buy
theirs from Basler Electric east of St Louis in Highland, IL, as the
shipping costs were lower. NWL provided iron components to companies
such as RCA and CCA nearby in NJ.

NWL makes transformers and inductors. They probably made the ones in
your transmitter. Give them a call
