[BC] No time for pirates

while I run a very well equipped part 15 station and not a pirate station I
am still concerned with over modulation on both am and fm and would welcome
an engineer bringing over a set of modulation monitors or a communications
service monitor and helping me properly set my levels and processing so I
don't over modulate. I have been trying for years to acquire an off air
modulation monitor for both fm and am but due to their still high cost even
for old belars they have eluded me to this day. I say off air because at the
miniscule powers we are allowed under part 15 you would need a low level
tuned off air unit and place the sampling antenna pretty close to the
radiator to get an accurate reading. I believe under ideal circumstances for
part 15 AM you can get an ERP of a maybe milliwatt and on part 15 FM maybe
11nW I believe was the calculation of ERP many have come up with. I use
certified transmitters that are brand new from the manufacturer so I know
there have been no aftermarket mods done. with that said anyone have old am
and fm analog mod monitors kicking around gathering dust that they would
care to donate and help me fill in the last missing piece's to have a
complete fully stocked station?

If you want less over modulated first adjacent interference, the best
approach might be to go over with a smile on your face and say, "Hi, I'd
like to help you make your station sound better, adjust the modulation
level, give them a limiter, what ever and leave.
