While this may, or may not, still be true, the times are changing. I'd be careful not to
underestimate the Chinese manufacturing capability. They might very well have bought
TTC to learn how to make a reliable TV transmitter.
Also, in China, one factory makes a great product while the one next door makes a similar
looking product that doesn't work very well. There are lots of high quality manufacturers
in China, but also tons of low quality ones. The trick is to use a manufacturer that
understands the need for quality. They do exist in China.

noodles, broadcast transmitters are quite another animal.
