I had this exact problem with a Ku dish except it was very predictable with numerous drop outs during week days both morning and afternoon drive and occasional dropouts at other times. The dish was on a non-pen mount sitting on the ground near a busy 4 lane. Some leaky detectors only caused a momentary blip on the comstream rx but others kept it wiped out for several seconds on each pass. The afternoon dropouts were always longer since the cars could be 30 feet closer to the dish headed out of town. We moved the dish about 50ft further away from the road and put another large C band dish between the Ku and the direction that seemed to be the worst offender.

The drop outs almost completely stopped until one of the office girls got a new radar detector and wiped it out again. Thankfully that dish was only used for a weekend show but the constant relay chattering from the rx was troubling.
