 OK, that explains it.

 No visual difference here when they are both working, and the 
 converter signal meter is usually the same for each, even when
 the wind blows, or it's drizzling, and they both catastrophically
 "fade" to nothing at all.

 Well, we've had our real world demo.
 No improvement of note. Various detriments of note.
 Can we go back to analog now ?
 Alternatively, can we get some decent power
 and get the coverage back ?
