That's really encouraging!  I'm going to print your email and take it to the lunch meeting with the pastors on Tuesday. Others say it can be done!  We have a slightly different congregation -- mostly retired seniors from all walks of life from long-haul trucker to PhD in Psychology.  But the same applies.  They are teachable!

Inattentive board ops?? Really?? No!  Yep, that's the universal church board-op problem  I keep emphasizing that you need to 'drive the bus' and keep your hands on the wheel and look out the windshield every second, and be prepared for the unexpected.  Heck being prepared for the expected is a sufficiently high hurdle!
