I've really enjoyed this thread.

I'm not sure where you are, Keith, but I'm from GA and in the South
there's a long tradition of "horse trading" and barter.  It goes back
to when nobody had any money, which was most of the time.

Having said that, he's sort of broken the protocol if I understand
what you said completely.  You're supposed to make this deal *before*
the work is performed, not try to weasel afterwards.

I certainly wouldn't feel bound to do it, but since he's opened this
door, tell him you need more than that and get enough stuff so that
you know for a fact you can't get hurt when you sell.

And if he balks, tell him to sell them himself like everybody else said.
