Or shorted screen bypass cap. The screen bypass is an integral part of the
tube socket. You can replace it with one that uses external capacitors
(highly recommended). Also, the IPA Screen rheostat, R26, can open on the
ground lug causing overloads due to excessive screen voltage. Tube(s) could
be damaged by extreme screen over dissipation.
