When it comes to stuff like this, I would advise my friend to adapt or die. Some things, parts just aren't made anymore, and computer audio and "cart" programs are far easier to work with than carts any day. If he's not able to accept that the old technology is dead, unavailable, unfixable, and non-workable, then he needs to get out of whatever business he's in and retire to the front porch rocking chair.

I know that sounds harsh, but sometimes you justhave to face reality.
