[BC] DST for the rest of you

Presuming the high noon reference point in the center of the USA, no...not
exactly. Sunset would be 4PM or (much) earlier on the east coast in
December. I can't image a single station running N-DA, DA-2 or day only
thinking that a good idea. And then the west coast stations would be
signing on or switching patterns at 8AM...or later if up north. Equally
poor.

DST and the time zones are compromises.
