 These stations with 50KW at night need every watt for their local groundwave coverage.

 Thoughts of a true redneck. If you were me like below. you would change your thoughts on the above mighty quick.

 Hey Powell  
 As a partner  owner of a small local  600 watt daytime signal .. and only get 5 hours of useful airtime in the winter months.
 I am shared with a 50kw  blowtorch in West VA over 200 miles away.  No need to hear that 50kw  in local area with  their preaching of the lord.  We have enough preaching stations locally.  You   talking about them needing every watt of their 50kw  to cover his local  area... 
Why  not let him run 10kw night and give  an increase to me  for at least 1kw day,  and  my 600watts at night so I can make a living... Geeze this radio business is so screwed up. too many religious stations to begin with. and now thats all they are letting into the LPFM markets for the second time.  
Hey Powell I want to come work for you... My starting rate is  $120K a year to cover my living expenses.. I would rather work a small cluster of 1-3 stations than the 29 I  need now to pay the bills...
