I'm not fond of snakes either.  Found a copperhead trying to find water at
the foundation of my house.  We have copperheads and cottonmouths and a
variety of others here in the Ozarks.  The upside to snakes: they eat mice
and rats!  God bless the food chain; just try to be predator and not the
prey.
