I'll have to ponder that one.  I am having a hard time picturing the bow-tie
elements as a collinear array element3. ???.  I'll see if I can find the
reference to that ant being a rhombic.  It came from an authoritative source
as I recall, on the history of early TV development involving David Sarnoff,
RCA-NBC, and the FCC concerning co- and adjacent channel separation on
low-band in the New York and Philly markets.  That receiving antenna was
credited as having some directionality to defend against the offending city
and enhancing the desired transmitters.
