[BC] CAP Converter and Windows 7 Home Premium Remote Connection assistance

Trying to assist a last minute CAP converter purchase.
 
The converter uses Win7 Home Premium, and thus does not have Remote Desktop
 
The converter sees the Internet just fine,,,it connects to CAP/IPAWS, it sends emails, and I can browse from it (which is how I am writing this)
 
However...
While I can ping the device from outside (about 108ms), I cannot get to the log file from outside.
 
I have done what I can figure in the firewall settings (had to enable ping for example), but cannot seem to access the root of the C:/drive and the CAPEAS folder.
 
Help, not happy sitting on this mountaintop!!!
 
Please reply off list as I get this in digest form normally
 
Any thoughts?
