Just had some nasty storms rip through Fort Wayne, Indiana about thirty minutes ago.
At present, the EAS primary [that's not WOWO] is off the air. As best I can count, I have roughly half (or more) radio stations off the air.
At one brief point (for between thirty and sixty seconds), all local TV's (CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS and the fifth is an independent) were off the air. I view my TV with an antenna; no cable or dish.
My cell phone started beeping (not duck farts) with a Tornado Warning. It was not for my specific area, but it was nearby (eastern edge of my county - Allen County).
For the record, I have VZW on a Motorola DroidX. The app is "Emergency Alerts" and it even archives the RMTs.
Here's a snapshot of the local weather radar, before the storms hit Fort Wayne: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/311655_3736289920196_349222917_n.jpg
