Leonard Kahn was an extraordinary inventor and engineer. Here is a list of his patents.

In later life, from frugal living, Mr. Kahn had accumulated over 16 million dollars in assets. The New York Department of Social Services wanted that money and had him declared senile. He sued, but his lawsuits were never brought to trial, a complete violation of his civil rights. His bank funds were attached without due process and he died penniless.
We have experienced a great loss with his death.

That's very funny. In a sense it's true. I was very fortunate in
being one of the people Leonard and Ruth treated as family. Leonard
often asked for my opinion.
