I will chime in here. 
I have some of the earlier Barix 100 series in place.  Initial software was doing the job but it was not till we got upgraded software that addressed most if not all of the initial problems found and since then  the little boxes perform well.  This was back when you had a set of $600 Barix units and the next step up was a $6000 unit doing pretty much the same thing.   They have for us been very reliable for our applications and Tech support has always been helpful as well in addressing questions.  I  would consider addition purchases when the need arises.
