[BC] Streaming to listeners

We purposely limit our stream to the minimum spec'd by Arbitron.  Not only for the reason you mention, it also costs the station money in the form of cash or traded spots to originate the data distribution.

We too have found a great number of listeners in big office buildings where our AM doesn't reach despite having the strongest RF signal in the downtown area (50-100mV).
