I never asked hard engineering questions. I wouldn't presume to
lecture Leonard on design. However, we had many hard conversations
about programming and marketing. He was well aware of how people
perceived him. His primary goal wasn't to be liked. It was to spread
the gospel of AM radio and AM stereo. I once offered to be the "face"
of Kahn AM stereo to help ease the "doesn't-play-well-with-others"
perception. In retrospect, that would never have worked. Leonard IS
the company.
