I have a few suggestions.
1. Spend 300.00 at Costco for a garage blower or find a few close rental centers. Handy for A/C outage and for use with the Z7 when having the GE dual speed rebuilt. (have some filter stock around also)
2. Find and befriend a rebuilder or water well company. These motors are only a 75.00 rebuild including new caps and thermal switch.
3. Take off the Fan at your own peril. It's balanced and best left on. Take the whole frame to rebuilder.
4. Keep that filter clean and a little squirt of contact cleaner every few months on the thermister with the "calibrated grommet" keeps computer happy.
5. Seal the lower front door with a few strips of duct tape and watch that airflow fly.
6. Last but not least.. Kick that blower into high manually during your inspection. Just follow the prompts. I had one that ran for years on low speed, then we installled another transmitter in the room.
Much to my suprise one summer it tried to kick up to high speed. You guessed it....a real intermittant alarm head scratcher.
