That's a great idea and I think I might try it.  Right now I am doing my recording in the morning before the A/C comes on.  My RTA shows a lot of energy in the 32 and 64-Hz bands when it is on.   
 
But, would it work better if the mics had an identical frequency response?  Or is this unnecessary?
