Seems I remember there was a WAAA in WInston-Salem, NC back in the 1960s.

Yep- I just looked it up in my dusty 1966 Broadcasting Yearbook-  it was WAAA, 1-KW D at 980-Khz, own by Laury Associates.

Today it is WEGO.
