OK, let me clarify...
We run automated backups [scheduled tasks] from workstations to a
centralized computer [not a server] on its extra drive. We use Carbonite to
back up that local drive. Unlimited space for free.
In your case, back up the network drive data to your local drive. Then it's
a done deal.
