That seems to be quite disingenuous (that is a nice word for LIE). I have a cell-phone with a 603 (New Hampshire) telephone number, and my VOIP home number has a Massachusetts area code nowhere near the usual ones in the area. It is only the wire carriers that use area codes to keep track of their "wires." The "area" codes are all obsolete although, because of the number of subscribers, we still need all those numbers.

Go to the "Shack" and get a 'phone. That's my suggestion, even if you have to drive 20 miles.

Cheers,
