[BC] equal time controversy

Morally?  Possibly.

Legally?  No way.

If "equal time" had not gone away, Rush couldn't have a show at all.

It was the demise of equal time that made conservative radio (well, an  
liberal radio as it exists) possible.

Had equal time not gone away, NPR talk shows (like Diane Rehm)  would  
have been smothered into non existence, as well as not allowing Rush  
and other conservative radio.
