Looking for bizarre problems?

     I had one once where the call was, "We are off the air".

     The transmitter would come on with a VSWR trip. Ooops, 
has to be an antenna problem. There was an older transmitter 
that I could put on the air using a manual patch. Should 
have done that first. Frogged around for a while. Finally, 
put the aux on the air, just fine, no swr, (Bird watt meter 
to the antenna).

     Problem? the exciter jumped frequency by some 2 Mhz or 
so, one bad cruddy dip switch. Driving home, one beats 
themselves up for not finding such a simple problem first.

     It's a "maybe".
