I'm using HostGator for a number of domains and the only issues I'm having at present relate to getting email to a particular list and ISP, spam filtering at the account level and a threshold for file handlesthat's too low, preventing automated backups from running.

Most of the time it's just a few minute wait for a service chat, even if I'm in a queue of 38 people.   They are usually very good and resolve issues on the first try.
