Uh, Mike?  Red's wavelength is *longer*, not shorter.  On the other 
hand, I didn't know about blue refracting; that explains why I have 
trouble seeing police cars' blue "takedown" lights... since I have 
astigmatism in both eyes (same angle, opposite sign)  And have always 
had trouble reading pencil-on-paper documents under mercury-vapor 
streetlights...  HPS streetlights were the greatest thing since sliced 
bread for this (long ago) paper boy.
