Signal sets isolated. They have a simple tone applied to each side. Click over joint and signal drops.
Simpson actually had a 250P RR model. It had a dual Tone generator and RMS audio level setting. If you have two crossings 500' apart 480' or so grounded. Sig trips on rubber isolator.
