Heck, I agree with Milton. 40 miles would be exceptionally poor daytime
at the seaside. Even WKDK does 45 miles in an area of 4 ( supposedly)
surrounded by <2 !
I remember when we came back by sea from Okinawa in 1961... I think
that was the year... I could hear stations daytime 1000++++++ miles
during the daytime. It got more narrowed along the west coast as we got
close under 400 miles. At night in the mid Pacific the little Sony
TR-714 picked up so much stuff it was amazing.
