I have had to Dry Out my Wife's Cell a number of times when it got dropped in Water. She told my neighbors and I have done theirs too.
My personal phone has had Antifreeze Baths, and I have had to fix several laptops that people thought were thirsty and gave 'em a drink of Coke or Coffee.
For me, it is pretty common.
