I'm a GDC. I was on the home sideline behind the grey Telex headset cart
with the green log-periodic.

Given I'm a weather geek, and the team knew that they asked where they
should set up their field fax printers. I told them about 90 minutes
pre-game it was going to rain and showed them the radar. One of the
equipment guys who doubted me at first later came up and thanked me for
telling them to set-up in the dug out...their Plan B location. The rains
started at such a time they would have never been able to make the
transition and not impact their game operation.

There was a lot of talk in the back area regarding electrical safety in
the rain. Especially with the floating self contained power systems those
carts used.

I also now understand why we used David Clark headsets for communcations.
When the field subs came on line, my ears rang even with the headsets on.
