[BC] Maintaining old Transmitters

There is an AM DA who rebuilt their 3 tower array the right way. They have
199' unlit towers, skirt fed, underground PVC to each tower for any future
lessee transmission lines, AC power runs to each tower for same, etc. Nicely
done, I am told. Problem: the doors to the tx building weren't made large
enough to fit the phasor through. Still operating ND on an STA day and
night!

The previous array had three aged towers. The Fire Marshall told the owner
to hire an experienced crew to take down the old towers. The owner loosened
guy wires at night and dropped the towers himself. The next week he used a
torch to cut up the mangled steel. The field caught fire. Fire Marshall NOT
happy......
