I remember the clash between the two parties. As I remember it, the
performers didn't want to be associated with the show. Hard as it may
be to believe, the performers didn't agree with his politics. It
doesn't matter what the agreement is so long as it satisfies both
parties. I suspect they felt a contribution to PETA would accomplish
two things. Limbaugh hates PETA. Animals benefited by Limbaugh's
money. Obviously it was an acceptable tradeoff. The other advantage
is that it annoyed Limbaugh. That's something to be treasured.
