 I know I've told the story about the car dealer who did that, or very similar.
 Sang the song, and the spot, himself.

 The morning guy hated those spots so much ( they were exceedingly tackey )
 that he started playing a klaxon and a "BULL&^% ALERT" announcement
 before Bill's spots, every time, until Bill heard it.

 Bill called the GM, putting everyone involved on pins and needles, until 
 they found out Bill wanted to know how much extra it would cost to play
 that alert *every* time his spots ran.

 More than one person was wearing egg that day.
