[BC] Maintaining older transmitters

.......And they build the transmitter building without checking with the engineer to make sure the transmitter will even fit including the harmonic filter.....which requires the harmonic filter and directional coupler to mounted outside and not weatherproofed ......true story in 1992....NEW station....they KNEW what transmitter they were getting....but didn't compensate for the harmonic filter and directional coupler.....owner couldn't care less...he said it will be fine, we'll just build a box around it.......2 years later, the filter and coupler filled with water and burned up along with the final tube and socket......because the vswr sample from the directional coupler was shorted by moisture and trash.....don't you just love it when a cheap-ass owner and/or GM will not take your advice?
