I'm just wondering when they'll realize that they can get away with having the dog wag the tail and start programming the translator and then rebroadcasting that FM signal through the AM transmitter as a means of eliminating the phone company.

That's a thought ... I know that in some other countries they just use a low-power FM transmitter and a regular FM tuner as an STL.
