The input-as long as you keep a load on it. A good trick is to use two 2.2k
resistors in series between the output and monitor amp input and mute by
grounding their junction with the mute relay.

This is a simple question but I'd rather ask the question than experiment
today. (feeling simple minded today) When muting the monitor, is it best to
do it via the monitor input, or output ?
