I'd say 4+ years in some cases.  The views of my neighborhood (grainy 
as they are) are much as the area was when I bought my house almost 5 
years ago.  None of the clearing I've done on my property 
shows.  Granted, I'm in a fairly rural area and may not get updated 
as often as more urbanized areas.  No street view of anything within 75 mi.
