I too saw that live. I found it quite interesting that Telemundo over the
air network went wall to wall with both the quake coverage and tidal wave
warnings. Univision, nor any of the big 4 networks had anything on the
actual tsunami until the evening news.

In the end, it was about a 6ft. wave.  Still...for the uninformed
beachgoer, that 6 ft. wave COULD be as deadly as a 20 ft. wave if you
can't escape or avoid the rip tides.
