The prime promoter of the Daytime Broadcasters Association was the late Ray 
Livesay
who had stations in Illinois based out of Mattoon (IL) (WLBH).  He was a 
voice for the many daytime-only stations of the day and a prominent 
broadcaster..  I was always amused, though, when we chose to spend a ton of 
$ to make our daytimer a full-time 4-tower DA,  Ray instead
chose to increase the power of his daytimer at Mattoon.  He was a good 
friend over the years and died 12 to 15 years ago.  I'm not sure if his son 
Jim still runs the company or not.
