That was the primary reason for the format change. While we at TM 
Programming were thrilled to have a Chicago client, it was sad for 
those of us who listened to the station during its heyday. I could 
receive it in Western MA. The same is true for WKBW, Buffalo. I 
always listened to Joey Reynolds. I never imagined he'd work for me 
when I grew up.

I don't recall a wave of protest when the format changed. I think it 
died a slow death from neglect.

No argument. Understand that Larry had the option to leave. He chose 
to stay for the remainder of his contract.
