 One drop wire will work OK if done properly, but current distribution
 between the large conductor ( the tower ) and the smaller one ( the
 drop wire ) can get tricky.
 A single drop wire "skirt" would have less pattern distortion than
 a slant wire, if done right.
 Remember, the skirt is merely a feed method. NOT a radiator. ( usually )

 Two drops are very typical of detuning, and generally arranged about
 the structure so that the intercepted field is balanced best, or ( in the
 case of power poles ) to avoid other appurtenances.
