[BC] Long Wire

How did you handle the long term oxidation/connection
issue? I think if cost were not a great concern I would
lean toward CCSR rather than ACSR, but maybe that is
because I survived the era when aluminum was tried and
failed in many applications. I realize Cu/Al connectors
solved at least some of the industrial issues, but I am
not sure if I want to trust that 200~250 feet in the air
for the next 20+ years, whereas with CCSR and brass or
bronze fittings ..... Or, where atmospheric corrosion
of zinc is not an issue a larger diameter galvanized guy
cable has much to offer without the oxide problem inherent
to aluminum.
