Curiously, are you using any external box to control the SG (as 
opposed to sending the actual serial string from the automation)?  I 
had one, can't remember the brand (it was nothing I'd ever heard of 
before) at one of my sites that would occasionally change the channel 
on the SG.  Static electricity would do it too, but other times it 
was just random.  Replaced it with a BTools box and no more problems.
