A radio that is quite useful in quality monitoring is the RFSpace SDR-IQ or
SDR-14. The bandwidth can be adjusted from a tiny narrow slot to a full +/-
10KHz. The device works through computer Spectravue software and displays
the spectrum. Very handy and worth the cost. It's also a good monitor for
AM IBOC.
