Boy, did I learn my lesson on that. For 10 years, I had used straight #6 copper wires. They stretch in time, start wobbling in the air, and can move so far that it could hit your tower causing a short. Now a good thing for the transmitter. I have copperweld now, so I rest easy about that, only thing, the copperweld the engineer used to build my unipole Mike is bigger than what you are thinking of.
